MB Aerospace Appoints Tim Scott as Chief Operating Officer19 Dec 2017
International aerospace engineering group MB Aerospace has today confirmed the appointment of experienced and respected executive Timothy “Tim” Scott as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Tim’s previous roles include a decade spent as a highly-regarded leader with GE Aviation, gathering extensive industry knowledge as plant manager at both GE Durham and GE Albuquerque, and as a Supply Chain Lean Leader at GE Cincinnati responsible for the global CF6 program.
Tim received his Executive MBA from University of North Carolina as well as a Masters in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University and a BS in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy. He is also a Certified Six Sigma Master Black belt, further underlining his ability to establishand develop operating systems capable of supporting growth and ensuring class-leading customer performance.
Tim also has 11 years’ experience with Donaldson Company, initially as Director of Operations and then as General Manager for Gas Turbine Systems, roles in which he was responsible for 1,000 employees and nearly $1bn in annual revenues.
Tim joins the group having spent the past few years as Chief Operating Officer with independent, private equity-backed industrial manufacturing businesses. At MB Aerospace, Tim will further utilise his experience of large-scale operating systems and executing growth at global multi-site businesses as the group continues to expand its scale of operations globally in the manufacture and repair of aero-engine components for the leading OEM’s.
He will assume full functional and operational responsibility for the group’s global operations in North America, Asia and Europe, and starts in the post early next month. Tim will be based at MB Aerospace’s offices in East Granby, CT.
